Usage

Our Ceramic Water Filter is used by families to purify fresh water that is contaminated with bacteria and viruses. Water is poured in on the top of the bucket so that it can percolate through the ceramic filter. It is a simple and efficient way to purify fresh water. It does not alter the taste of the water.

Target groups

Families in tropical counties facing the contamination of fresh water resources due to poor sanitation, percolation of contaminated water into ground water etc.

Production

On daily basis 10-20 liters of water can be purified. This is the amount of water is needed on average to fulfill the needs of one family. The ceramic pot has to be changed every 1,5 years.

Technology

The Ceramic pot through which the contaminated water is percolating, is impregnated with a solution of colloidal silver. Silver is known for its decontaminating capacities. It is capable of inactivating/killing harmful bacteria. A reliable method used for many ages in Southern America and a short time ago again rediscovered and applied in these modern ceramic filters.
